Healing Through Touch
Find your balance and soothe your mind
About Hidden Gem Massage Therapy
My path into massage therapy began when I realized how deeply stress, pain, and emotional strain affect both body and mind. I discovered that massage is about so much more than physical relief. It is a powerful way to restore balance, release tension, and bring a sense of calm that stays with you long after you leave.
In 2023, my husband and I moved to the beautiful Cornish coast. Inspired by the peace and natural rhythm of this place, I created Hidden Gem Massage Therapy—a warm, welcoming sanctuary to help you pause, unwind, and reconnect with yourself.
My approach is truly holistic, meaning I care for you as a whole person. Because everyone is beautifully unique, I tailor every treatment to exactly what your body and mind need in the moment. As a Level 3 qualified therapist, I blend classic Swedish and Deep Tissue techniques, while drawing inspiration from the fluid, rhythmic elements of Lomi Lomi, Thai, and Balinese traditions.
This beautiful blend allows me to ease away deep, stubborn tension while maintaining a gentle, continuous rhythm. The result is a comforting, Deep Flow massage experience that relaxes your nervous system, dissolves stress, and gently restores your natural inner balance.
Today, it is a true privilege to support people looking for relief from pain, stress reduction, or simply a quiet space to breathe. Every session is gently shaped around you, helping you leave feeling lighter, grounded, and fully restored.
Treatments
A full-body massage is the most effective way to restore balance and harmony, helping your body release deep-seated tension and reconnect with a sense of ease. If you’d prefer to focus only on your upper or lower body, I’ll happily adapt your session to meet your needs.

FAQ’s
-
How do I book an appointment?
You can book through the online booking system on my website. The system requires 6 hours’ notice, so same‑day appointments are often still available if a suitable time shows.
If you’re hoping for a same‑day slot that isn’t listed, feel free to contact me directly — I may still be able to fit you in.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
I completely understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or move your appointment, please try to give at least 24 hours’ notice, as this allows me to offer the time to another client who may be waiting.
Cancellations within 24 hours are charged at 50% of the session fee.
Cancellations within 12 hours or any no‑show are charged at 100% of the session fee.
These guidelines help me keep the diary running smoothly and ensure fairness for all clients. Thank you so much for your understanding.
Do you accept walk-in appointments?
No, all sessions must be booked in advance via my website, phone, messenger or Whatsapp. I do not accept walk-in appointments to ensure a dedicated and calm environment for each client.
Is your treatment room wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately, my treatment room is not wheelchair accessible. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and am happy to provide referrals to other local therapists who may be able to accommodate your needs.
Do you offer mobile or group treatments?
Yes! I offer mobile treatments exclusively for groups, including hen parties, celebrations, and holiday stays—bringing relaxation directly to your location. To confirm your booking, an upfront payment is required, and an additional fee applies to cover travel time and expenses. Please see my Terms & Conditions for more detail.

How should I prepare for my massage?
Good hygiene is important to ensure a comfortable and safe experience for both you and me as your therapist. If you’ve been to the gym, exercised, or been sweating, it’s recommended to shower beforehand and wear clean clothing. This helps me provide the best possible treatment and ensures a pleasant environment for everyone. It also allows your skin and muscles to be in optimal condition, which can enhance the benefits of your massage.
Should I avoid alcohol before my massage?
Yes, it’s important to avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your treatment. Alcohol can dehydrate your body, affect circulation, and make your muscles more sensitive, which can reduce the effectiveness of your massage.
What time should I arrive for my appointment?
Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time only. My schedule is carefully managed to provide a peaceful and private experience for each client. If you do arrive early, please wait patiently outside without ringing the doorbell as I may be with another client and there are other family members who work from home and may be in meetings.
What if I am running late?
I understand that delays can happen. If you are running late, please let me know as soon as you can. I will do my best to accommodate you, however, please be aware that your session may be shortened to avoid delaying the next client, and you will still be responsible for the full session price.
What should I expect during my first visit?
Your first session will begin with a brief check‑in, as your consultation form is completed online. We will review any key points, discuss any specific concerns you have, and clarify your goals for the massage to ensure your session is fully tailored to your needs.
What should I wear during my massage?
You’ll be asked to undress to your comfort level, keeping your underwear on.For women: It’s best to remove your bra for full access to the neck, back, and shoulders. If you’d prefer to keep it on, I can simply unclip it once you’re on the table and re-fasten it when we’re finished.
For men: Please wear comfortable, stretchy underwear that can be adjusted to allow access to the legs and hips.
No matter what you choose, you’ll always be professionally draped with a sheet. Only the area being worked on will be uncovered, so your comfort, privacy, and dignity are always my top priority.
What if I'm not sure which type of massage I need?
All my sessions are bespoke. You simply book the time you’d like. Your consultation form is completed online, and you can also share a treatment intention when booking. We’ll review this together at the start of your appointment, and you’re welcome to change your focus on the day.
Will the massage hurt?
Communication is key. While some deeper work can cause a level of discomfort, it should never be painful. I encourage you to let me know if the pressure is too much or if you feel any pain.

How will I feel after the massage?
Most clients feel deeply relaxed and may experience a reduction in muscle tension and stress. It's normal to feel a bit sore the next day, especially after deep tissue work.
What should I do after my massage?
Rehydrate: Drinking plenty of water is the most important thing you can do after a massage. Your body works to release metabolic waste and toxins from your muscles during a massage, and water helps flush them out of your system. Aim to drink a full glass of water immediately after your session and continue to hydrate throughout the rest of the day.
Listen to Your Body: Your body may feel a little different after your massage. It’s common to feel relaxed, sleepy, or even a bit sore, especially if you had deep tissue work. This is a normal and healthy response as your muscles release tension. Pay attention to how you feel and give your body what it needs—whether that's rest, a warm bath, or gentle movement.
Take it Easy: Avoid strenuous activity for the rest of the day. This is not the time for an intense workout. Strenuous exercise can stress your muscles and potentially reverse the benefits of your massage. Instead, enjoy a relaxed evening, take a gentle walk, or simply rest.
Eat a Light Meal: Nourish your body with a light, healthy meal. Avoid heavy, greasy foods that can put a strain on your digestive system. Think salads, soups, or lean protein.
Practice Gentle Stretching: In the days following your massage, gentle stretching can help maintain the new range of motion in your joints and muscles. Avoid any aggressive or painful stretches and focus on slow, controlled movements.
Consider a Warm Bath: A warm bath with Epsom salts can be incredibly soothing. The warmth will help to further relax your muscles, while the magnesium in the salts can help reduce any post-massage soreness.
By following these simple aftercare steps, you can help your body integrate the work done during your session and prolong your feeling of wellness and relaxation.
How often should I get a massage?
The ideal frequency depends on your individual needs and goals. Some clients benefit from weekly sessions, while others come once a month or as needed. We can discuss a plan that works for you.
-
How does your pricing work?
My pricing is based on time, not a specific treatment. You choose the duration of your session, and we'll create a bespoke massage to fit that time.
What payment methods do you accept?
I accept cash and most major credit and debit cards.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes, gift cards are available and make a wonderful gift for any occasion. You can purchase them directly through my website or by phone.
Can I use a gift card for a different duration than what is stated on the card?
Gift cards can be used for any treatment of equal or lesser value. If the service you choose is a higher value, you will simply pay the difference.
